Centre for Global Education

This event highlights the crucial role children play in fostering communication, raising awareness, and promoting sustainable values. It provides a platform for Canadian children to demonstrate how climate education can drive youth-led action and conservation efforts locally, regionally, and globally. The session will also launch the 2024 #Decarbonize Global Child Climate Manifesto, co-authored by students worldwide. The Manifesto emphasizes the lived experiences of young people impacted by climate change and environmental damage, ensuring their knowledge shapes solutions. The session will showcase children’s civic engagement in climate change, explore the diverse experiences of young people, and highlight effective child-specific climate change strategies. It features inspiring action and reflection on how to enhance capacity-building initiatives through storytelling and shared ideas.
