Clean Energy Ministerial Supercharging Battery Storage Initiative

The Clean Energy Ministerial Supercharging Battery Storage Initiative serves as a vehicle to accelerate battery storage deployment around the world, supporting the integration of renewables while securing the stability and reliability of the electricity grid. This is the launch event for the Initiative’s first policy report, “Battery Storage Unlocked: Lessons Learned from Emerging Economies”, which features lessons learned and best practices for accelerating battery storage globally, with case studies from Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Pacific. The report spotlights the multifaceted benefits that battery storage solutions can provide to power grids of emerging economies, the key market, policy, and regulatory factors that make up the enabling environment, and the roles of technical assistance and finance.
